My network is quite large and has a variety of AV devices to it as well as computers, servers, and several video game consoles. Crestron I use in my house to A / V, HVAC, and other things that can control its network intensively. Before you install this switch to make my installers to go with a lower budget option. We had some problems and equipment trailer. Luckily I was able to quickly discover that our "low budget" switch was the problem. I ordered this switch from Amazon and exchanged it and had absolutely no problems, because even at very high load. It makes absolutely no sense to buy a cheap switch, if you do not have your value system and integrity of your time. I needed a switch for my home network (I have a faucet in each room) and I spend all my computer equipment in the basement in a two post rack to save space. I had a TrendNet 16 port switch and I hated it because of the fan noise unbearable. This unit is the exact opposite - no fans! It does not seem to have more heat with out.
