Before big improvement over N Linksys by josh u up this router using the supplied software (Cisco Connect) was a breeze. Within 20 minutes, I installed the Cisco Connect, named my network, password, secure my network and my desktop connected (wired) and wireless laptop bluray player. Installation was a breeze. The E2500 replace my Linksys WRT160N renovated, which stopped working less than one year after I bought it. What was hard to use from the start (btw, DD-WRT is not the problem). The E2500 is very fast. I tested streaming video and it worked fine on my wireless laptop BluRay player and all my house. I recommend using the key to a simple configuration using Cisco Connect to connect a laptop was a breeze to use. You can use a network of customers have a separate password and does not allow guests access to certain files on the network. It is easy to configure via Cisco Connect easily to, or use of Cisco Connect can replace going to the browser page based on the configuration of the router to all the basic configuration requirements and more. The unit runs hot, but, by burning a whole in its on. No lights on the front of the router, as patterns of previous models. The E2500 looks much more elegant. So the router is fast, it was easy to install and I had three devices connected within 20 minutes. 39 of 43 people found this review helpful. Excellent choice of David *** UPDATE June 27, 2011: Nothing has changed so far ... the router will still work just fine .*** Let me start by saying that I just bought this yesterday, so I can not comment on the long-term reliability of this router. That said, I had to write a review I am very pleased with the work so far. I will update this over time. This router is a replacement for my old WRT54G that served me well for about four years, but acted up (loss of signal, slow connections, low gear, etc.) So I decided to model (E2500 as a replacement) to buy. The whole time before this new router, I fear the possibility of it, given my experience with my old WRT54G router. Once it arrived, I followed the instructions in the package and then insert the CD into my MacBook to start the installation. Installer involved simply pressing a few buttons and then so did the rest! My network was up and running in about five minutes, the installer does all the work for me. I noticed that the installer was a guest account that is not protected as a key created. This concerned me, so I logged into the advanced settings using the router's IP address to 192.168.1.1 Please support my browser (you should preferably used in the computer to configure the network because they are already connected to the network) I think the default is blank the user name and password, which are by default network password used to to leave a link. Once I was inside, I disabled the guest account, but it turned out that there exists a password, it's just that it obviously is browser-based (guests can connect to the network itself, but capable of Internet by accessing the password in the browser). So if you want the guest account would be made available, it is sufficient, the default password on the screen or a new configuration is noted. I also have the default password used to connect to my router here (in the "Management"). So, to clarify, open the address 192.168.1.1 to a menu where you can change the default settings of your router to your liking. I think it was critical to setting a "easy", which does not allow you to customize the router to actually see this process in reverse, the "easy" to configure the router to work well because of their situation. Once it is setup, you can modify any part of the configuration you want. In my case, just change the router password.
