Solid performance for smaller networks by Michiel de Bruijn The Netgear FS108 Fast Ethernet switch is a great for small workgroups, with a sturdy construction (from the metal housing for RJ45 connectors) and excellent performance. Packet forwarding rates are what one would expect for less than $ 10 per port, and I had no trouble getting in contact with many different brands of machines network card. Even cards with speeds of mixing not cause many problems, in contrast to what happens in other economic Ethernet 10/100 switch, I could mention. The only concern I have with this unit is that sometimes seems to convey some unicast packets to all switch ports for no apparent reason and that it runs hot, as another study mentioned.A For a number of negative points mentioned by other reviews: the switch works very well with a non-Windows machines (I would expect anyone to run multiple operating systems capable of solving simple connectivity without resorting to technical support, which usually tend to "Windows only" for almost any product * ..) and, despite not really support full duplex / s 100 MB of non-blocking switching on all ports at the same time, this is not something you would expect from a switch group of the working class anyway, is not something most users never need.In short, if you're looking for an affordable way to get a good network performance 10/100BaseT short stature, NetGear FS108 has highlighted the away! 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Much change! But is HOTTT! By Ronald Mendoza has 8 ports 10/100 Full duplex capabilities. It comes in a metal casing feels very solid and quite heavy. It is truly plug and play. Compared to my generic (TRENDnet 5-port full-duplex 10/100 switch) that blows away the water to improve ping through my home network and when loaded with 7 computers to transfer files to 100 Mbps full duplex that shines!
